“Agnès Varda and JR have several things in common : passion and questioning about images in general and more precisely about places and devices to show them, to share them, to exhibit them. Agnès chose the cinema. JR chose to create outdoor photo galleries.When Agnès and JR met in 2015, they immediately wanted to work together, shoot a film in France, away from the cities, traveling with the photographic truck (and magic) of JR. Through chance meetings, they introduced themselves to ordinary people, listened to them, photographed them and sometimes displayed the results. The film also tells the story of their friendship that grew during the shoot, between surprises and teasing, laughing at the differences.
